National Society for Epilepsy headquarters completed
Work on a seven year healthcare project at the headquarters of the UK’s leading epilepsy charity has just ended.

The last building to be completed is the £2.4 million Epilepsy Assessment and Treatment Centre which will be the most advanced epilepsy assessment centre in the world.

The centre will be named after Sir William Gowers, the founding father of the NSE, to commemorate his fundamental role in establishing understanding and treatment of epilepsy.

Significantly the centre will have direct access to the MRI Unit, making it globally unique.

The centre will provide state of the art facilities for patients and their relatives and carers, with 26 beds, 5 consulting rooms and 4 rooms that are wired up for EEG-video telemetry.

Acanthus Clews have been involved with the National Society for epilepsy since 1995 when Planning Consent was originally obtained following complex planning procedures due to the Chalfont St Peter site being in an area of Green Belt.
