Projects: RESIDENTIAL

Malt House

The new garden room at The Malthouse makes the most of the established gardens in all seasons.

This substantial listed house is built of local Cotswold stone in a village setting.

The work involved building adjacent to the boundary wall, which required underpinning, and the reordering of existing rooms to form a garden/breakfast room, utility room and shower room.

The entire heating system was replaced with a cooking and central heating range which serves the main house and the underfloor heating system in all of the new rooms.

A particularly striking feature is the full glazing of the gable end truss.
