House - Terracing used in farmhouse extension
Hordley House
is a large farmhouse now benefiting from extension and alteration.
The brief was
for a new dining room in the main part of the house and the addition
of a boot room and WC.
The extension
for the boot room and WC was sunk into an embankment on three
sides with an external terrace and seating area above. The external
walls were built in Cotswold stone to match the existing house.
The interior
detailing was simple and included purpose-made joinery.
