| Apsley Lock - New housing on regeneration site The former industrial site of Apsley Lock at Apsley Mills, Hemel Hempstead is undergoing spectacular regeneration. Operating as the contractor’s architect, Acanthus Clews designed apartments and houses in the residential development. The apartments feature two and three bedrooms and are sited around a substantial purpose-built mooring basin which fills from the Grand Union Canal. The modern town houses are set back from the mooring basin adjacent to public open space.
